Communications Officer
RCN Leeds Office, 17.5 hours per week, 12 month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment.

The Communications Officer will help ensure our members and other important audiences across the Yorkshire and the Humber region of England are informed about and engaged with the RCN's work. Our audiences include RCN activists and members, the media, politicians and the wider public.

Supporting the Communications Manager in the RCN Yorkshire and the Humber region, you will focus on the delivery and development of our member, media and stakeholder communications, services and products. Our aim is to position the RCN as the authoritative voice of nursing through locally promoting our activities, campaigns and achievements.

There is excellent potential to develop your skills as the duties range from sourcing, writing and editing content for member communications through to assisting in the research, writing and distribution of news releases and internal briefings. You will also proactively identify new opportunities for the RCN to support the interests of our members and nursing.
