IT Support Operator
RCN Cardiff Gate Office, 35 hours a week (across a rota working 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm and 10am to 6pm), Permanent Contract.
As our IT Support Operator you'll use your enthusiasm, your positivity and your customer service skills to deliver an exceptional service to our colleagues.
It's a job full of possibilities as you could get involved in anything from remote support to onsite maintenance and potentially client site visits. It's a great way to build your knowledge of our work and develop your potential.
In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will get involved in anything from fixing Desktop pc's, Laptops, Tablets and Mobile Phones to assisting the team at our annual Congress. We'll look to you to use your initiative and gain new technical skills so you can fix as many issues as possible at the first point of contact.
As an IT Support Operator you'll influence critical decisions about day call handling and Incident Management procedures. A key part of what you do will be to suggest innovative approaches to IT. You'll be involved in some organisational wide projects whilst influencing stakeholders and building key relationships.

As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you'll need an in-depth knowledge of the ITIL framework and excellent technical skills.
To join us you'll need Microsoft Office skills and, ideally, a background in a relevant area such as Active Directory or SCCM. Whatever your background, you'll be efficient, accurate and show a real customer focus in all you do.
