Business Development Executive

RCN UK HQ, 35 hours, Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic individual with both marketing and business development experience.

As Business Development Executive you'll use your positive attitude and your knowledge of the health and social care market to develop effective strategies to increase income through our commercial products and services. You will work with colleagues throughout the organisation to identify new business opportunities and build on our current portfolio.

It's a job full of possibilities. Suggesting innovative approaches to grow our commercial income will be a key part of what you do. We will also look to you to create multi-channel marketing campaigns, research new business opportunities and manage relationships with our key affinity partners. Using your excellent analytical skills you will produce reports, which evaluate the success of your lead generation campaigns.

You will demonstrate your enthusiasm and creative thinking when participating in commercial strategy working groups and build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders throughout the RCN Group.

Working alongside the Business Director and Marketing Manager, you will implement the commercial strategy and use your winning mentality to achieve the ambitious revenue targets.

What we offer you

We expect you to look after your customers. And we expect you to be rewarded for it. As well as a whole range of learning and development opportunities we can also offer you an impressive range of benefits. We have a highly competitive pay structure, as well as flexible working, and annual leave of up to 32 days.

Balancing work and life commitments is important to us as an organisation. We are a diverse organisation and understand everyone has different needs. All employees can ask for flexible working and when personal circumstances change we will work with you to find a smarter working solution that suits everyone. In fact, many of our employees enjoy home working, flexible working or compressed hours, enabling them to deliver results with minimum impact to their professional and personal commitments. We also offer generous Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave packages.

As well as a sound business acumen, to join us you'll need an in-depth knowledge of marketing and demonstrable leadership skills as you will have line management responsibilities for members of the marketing team.

Knowledge of the UK and international health care markets and an understanding of how to capitalise upon the value of the brand will be a distinct advantage.

To succeed at the Royal College of Nursing all you need to do is think bigger, better and brighter. And with an attitude like that, anything's possible.
