RCN HQ office (London) with hybrid working. Other office locations may be available, however regular travel to RCN London HQ is required. Please discuss prior to application

Salary range per annum: £66,909 - £75,492*

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the RCN’s work on Sustainability and harness the voice of nursing by developing and utilising effective professional relationships between the RCN and relevant national-level external networks and stakeholders such as statutory agencies, professional bodies, providers and commissioners, independent and third sector organisations and public/patient groups.
Your role will be central to the development of the RCN as the voice of Nursing by working alongside colleagues in policy and practice and drive the success of the RCN as a business. You will be required to liaise and communicate with RCN members on all matters relating to Sustainability and to be proactive in effective lobbying to ensure the voice of our members and those with lived experience is heard.
Sustainability is priority of the RCN and you’ll lead some national projects so your ability to influence stakeholders and build key external relationships is vital. Through your work and the relationships, you build you will gain a strategic understanding of nursing at a national/UK level within your area.
You will have the opportunity to help develop a RCN member community committed to addressing the global health threats from climate change and to help shape clinical guidance and develop resources to influence a wide spectrum of nursing care for a range of people and populations.
Collaboration with other specialist leads will be essential.
To join us you’ll need to be an experienced NMC registered nurse with extensive experience and credible leadership in Sustainability.

*We offer a competitive pay structure with annual pay progression until you reach the top of the salary scale. We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience and current salary.

Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
