As the UK Nursing Information Officer at the Royal College of Nursing, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of nursing informatics and digital health. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development of the RCN's vision and strategy, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to drive innovative solutions that address contemporary health and social care challenges. This role positions you as a key influencer, helping to establish the RCN as the authoritative voice of nursing.
In addition to strategic development, you will manage and deliver key projects aimed at enhancing nursing practice through digital transformation. You will create and guide forums that elevate the RCN's reputation, ensuring nursing professionals receive the support and guidance necessary to succeed in an ever-evolving environment. Your expertise will be essential in fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders, including professional bodies and public groups.
Furthermore, you will provide expert advice on policy, practice, and educational elements of digital health nursing. Responsible for developing high-quality resources—such as clinical guidelines and best practice standards—you will play a crucial role in advancing nursing informatics to improve nursing practice and patient care. Candidates should have a strong nursing background and a thorough understanding of digital health and informatics. A relevant nursing degree and experience in driving strategic initiatives within the profession are essential, along with a passion for enhancing healthcare outcomes.

We offer a competitive pay structure with annual pay progression until you reach the top of the salary scale. We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience and current salary.

Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
