As the RCN’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager you’ll be our subject matter expert on everything health, safety and wellbeing for our staff and those coming into contact with the RCN’s services and premises, across the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring the RCN is compliant with current health and safety legislation through its policies and practices, and be RCN adviser on all aspects of health, safety and wellbeing associated with staff, visitors, contractors, customers including our members.

As well as providing advice and support to the Health and Safety Committee, reporting issues and matters to the Committee and the Executive Team to enable informed decisions to be made, you’ll lead on developing and maintaining a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the whole organisation.

To join us you’ll need NEBOSH Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent with strong contemporary knowledge and understanding of the physical and psychological risks of an office working environment. You will need detailed knowledge, and keep up to date with, Health, Safety and wellbeing legislation and requirements and best practice.

An excellent communicator, relationship builder, with the ability to lead change by influencing, negotiating and encouraging discussion with key stakeholders, you’ll be experienced in leading and enhancing health and safety and staff wellbeing,

*We offer a competitive pay structure with annual pay progression until you reach the top of the salary scale. We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience and current salary.

Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
