Assistant Administrator
RCN London Region Office, 35 hours, Fixed Term Contract or Secondment until June 2022

As our Assistant Administrator you’ll use your customer service skills and your enthusiasm. You'll express positivity and use your administrative and reception skills to deliver an exceptional service to our members and support our local team.

In this role you will be the face of the London Region welcoming our visitors and members to the office. We will look to you to manage our room booking system and audio-visual requirements for meetings, ensure our stationery stock levels are maintained and to deal with enquires, type up correspondence and input data.

We'll look to you ensure any messages for colleagues are concise and accurate, and to make courier bookings as and when necessary. You'll use your excellent communication skills to liaise with our facilities, IT team and other organisations. It's a great way to build on your skills and experience and develop your potential.

What we offer you

We expect you to look after our members and customers. And we expect you to be rewarded for it. As well as a whole range of learning and development opportunities we can also offer you an impressive range of benefits. We have a highly competitive pay structure, as well as flexible working, and annual leave of up to 32 days.

Balancing work and life commitments is important to us as an organisation. We are a diverse organisation and understand everyone has different needs. All employees can ask for flexible working and when personal circumstances change we will work with you to find a smarter working solution that suits everyone. In fact, many of our employees enjoy home working, flexible working or compressed hours, enabling them to deliver results with minimum impact to their professional and personal commitments. We also offer generous Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave packages.

To join us you’ll need exceptional communication skills and efficiency, show accuracy in your work and show a real customer focus in all you do. You will need to be organised and have the ability to multitask, along with proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite. We have in-house applications you will have to use, so good IT literacy and the ability to learn quickly is required.

To succeed at the Royal College of Nursing all you need to do is think bigger, better and brighter. And with an attitude like that, anything’s possible.
