RCN HQ Office, 21 hours per week, 12 month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment
As a Governance Adviser you’ll use your positive attitude, your knowledge of governance and your ability to deliver an excellent committee secretariat to RCN committees – and you will help take forward our governance IT and customer service agendas.
It's a job full of possibilities as you will work with our senior members and staff to planning committee meeting agendas, as well as following through with concise minutes, and ensuring actions are completed and decisions recorded. We'll look to you to build great relations with our committee members, as well as colleagues throughout the UK. You will also work on promoting and implementing our governance IT systems and championing their use across the organisation.
This is a job share role and you will work collaboratively with your job share partner to deliver a seamless service to our members.
You’ll be supported by our fantastic team of governance administrators who look after the logistical arrangements of our committee work.
As a Governance Adviser at the RCN you will be exposed to working with very senior people in a highly influential organisation which is very well regarded and respected throughout the UK and beyond.

As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need the skills and experience to deliver a first rate committee secretariat along with knowledge of corporate governance. If you are fully or part-trained as a company secretary or hold a qualification in corporate governance, or have top-level committee secretariat experience, you would be a perfect candidate. We’re also looking for someone with experience and knowledge of governance IT systems with a strong positive outlook and engaging personality to support our members and staff across the UK.
